Music Videos from the 80's

Straight from the era that popularized the music video, this site has over a thousand music videos from the 80's. Really brings me back to the days I used to watch MTV when it was actually music television. Good stuff for the nostalgiac. Link to Music Videos from the 80's

Nylon Magazine

Here's a relatively new fashion/life magazine that I've been reading since its inception.. well the guys one anyways. Yes, they have a Nylon for women and one for men but the content for the men isn't as up to speed as for the women (naturally). It's getting there I guess. I don't know.. some of the stuff is a bit TOO tragically hip for my taste but there is some good stuff for you "hipshits" out there. Excuse my french. There's an article up now about the creator of Bathing Ape clothes (in the mens) and photos of us amazing house. You can download or read the entire Nylon for women from the website but Nylon for men is only on stands although there is a limited Nylon for guys website. Link to Nylon Magazine

Mojizu

Submit your Moji and let people see your character designs. What the heck is a Moji? They are just characters and through Mojizu you can join a community of these character designers. You can have them voted or commented on or you can even do a Moji battle against a fellow Moji designer. It's still in beta mode but there are already thousands of characters you can browse through. Musicovery

This French-based online radio site is all over the blogosphere. You pick a genre of music and a particular shade/mood of the genre and a musical map will appear playing songs that match it. It's a pretty site and a cool concept but the functionality can be improved upon as can the music selection. Check it out:Link to Musicovery

Whoops, the site is currently down because of all the visitors but it will be back up soon they say.

T-Shirt craze

I was just about to write a post about all these t-shirt sites that offer one-of-a-kind or novelty designs but someone beat me to it and did a fine job at that. He lists a bunch of the best design + t-shirts websites like Threadless.com and Protoculture.com. Check out You Look Like I Need A Drink blog here:Link

Photography of Erwin Olaf

Erwin Olaf's photography is dark and somber, and many of his projects edge well beyond the twisted, but I can't get enough. The colors, the lighting, the sets, the images bring together a unique aesthetic. There are some disturbing images so if you have a fear of clowns or if the sight of blood makes you uneasy, I suggest you stick to his tamer projects. Check out Erwin Olaf's photos here: Link

Spanish Castle Optical Illusion

This optical illusion is mesmerizing. Fools your eyes into thinking that there is color on a black & white photo. Enjoy the Spanish Castle Optical Illusion: Link
